It ain’t too pretty but I’ve drawn circles around the plants so the player knows if they’re planting too close. It was frustrating not knowing so that’s fixed.

Maybe the next big pain point to address is throwing crops into the basket. The targeting needs to be better and the crops shouldn’t just disappear when they make it to the basket.

I also rebuilt the harvest baskets as harvest boxes. When a crop enters the box (an Area3D) then collisions with other crops are enabled. That plus a randomized bounce absorption value allows them to distribute themselves within the box a little better instead of all of them occupying the same twelve pixels.
