More and More Laser Puzzles

·215 words·2 mins

I keep growing out of my puzzle organizing space. It’s nice to see everything in one screen but maybe it’d be better to divide things up.

Or zoom out a layer of abstraction and look at the concepts / mechanics / skills these levels are trying to teach and show off.

…a few days later and I ended up adding a scroll bar so I have more space to work with when organizing the levels. I’ll probably still need some more tweaks to this level arrangement system but it’s relatively painless creating new levels now.

I’ve added a bunch more. Some of them need to be refined or maybe reworked. Some of them are just to jot down an idea for a mechanic I want to explore. Others are blocked out and ready for play testing.

I’ve got a couple things I need to clean up before I can get feedback, though. Right now the sensors do a very poor job of indicating what they’re doing. After playing with the levels a bit I think I have an idea for how they could better communicate a) what colour laser they want, b) when that requirement has been fulfilled, and c) when it’s in a disqualified state because the wrong colour laser is pointing at it.
