Importing some hand drawn assets today. Lavender. It’ll set up some smaller jumps between flowers.
Photos of my drawings are 4624 x 3468 pixels.
Scale 15% based on a single flower. We’ll see if I need to adjust.
So approx 694 x 520.
Three images so putting them all into one vertically means 694 x 1560.
Would be nice to have a scanner instead of a camera but I’m traveling so let’s make this work.
Hahaha, it’s fun to see my hand drawn assets in the game and to land on the flowers and all that but…
…it looks rough.
A few things:
- Scale didn’t work out. It’s too tall for the screen.
- Importing photos of the drawings and adjusting levels to make them look like line art sucked. Gonna need a lot of work there… and maybe a scanner.
- Hand drawn + low res is not very nice. I should at least see how the assets look at a higher resolution and then consider changing the game’s resolution.
Discovered this by accident but the Soft Light layer blend mode has a pretty nice effect.

All I did was add a full white fill layer with soft light.
Hmm, it does lighten the lines quite a bit, too, which isn’t really what I’m after (in this case in looks okay but).
